WHAT DO WE OFFER? René Dussen [2] : "Through the years our 'chefs' gained 'Michelin Stars' from their radio peers. They scored over 18k 'favs' from TuneIn listeners alone and have 2k followers on Facebook. Listening to a radio station is a totally different experience than playing an album yourself. Radio listeners are always doing something else while our stream is on. Our radio format focuses on American songbook listeners throughout the world, who listen to their beloved music genre while carrying on with their everyday things such as eating, working, driving, cycling, athletics, cleaning, or even sitting in the waiting room of a doctor's office. We all know this from the listeners' feedback we've received".

THE SELECTION. "Is made by a small committee with long music & radio business experiences. Deciding on song selections and renditions is a matter of professional taste. Personal preferences are not considered. Our menus are served in various tempos, settings, using a variety of instruments and arrangements. Our intent is to regularly surprise listeners with unusual renditions of well-known songs by lesser-known performers. But the icing on the cake is the audio stream quality itself, and luckily we possess the technical knowledge and the right tools to achieve this. But focus is one of continually striving for improvement. It’s never 100 percent finished, you know …”

THE SONGTITLES Jennifer Roberts: [3] "shown on our playlist come from our 'Music Library' of over 17k carefully selected songs. These renditions get completed with other format items like: new album releases, vintage (sung or comic) radio commercials, self produced station promos and the current Central Park temperatures. Special attention is always paid to the Chairman of Board, Francis Albert Sinatra! Without his existence this radio station never would have been born. This combination of music and items consolidates the feel and experience of its Manhattan base".

HOW OUR PLAYLIST WORKS. "We selected renditions sung and played by over 2200 artists and groups. Our system selects them at random by the aid of a template. This template distinguishes female, male, duo's, vocal groups and instrumental renditions. It picks a certain rendition just once and remembers that this certain song & artist combination is played. After our whole music selection is played, this 'already played list' gets cleaned and the database restarts, but at random again. The frequency of how often a certain artist is played depends also on the number of songs by this artist is selected. Special artist or album promotions, on the hour jingles, GAS radio promo's, our vintage radio commercials and the real-time Manhattan Central Park temperatures, run on a minute based schedule."

OUR TOP 30 René Dussen: [2] "Our top American Songbook Contributors are: Frank Sinatra, Peggy Lee, Nat King Cole, Matt Monro, John Pizzarelli, Ella Fitzgerald, Mel Tormé, Dean Martin, Sarah Vaughan, Diana Krall, Anita O'day, Nancy Wilson, The Four Freshmen, Doris Day, Julie London, Carmen McRae, Sammy Davis Jr., Rosemary Clooney, Steve Lawrence, Tony Bennett, Perry Como, Bobby Darin, Jack Jones, June Christy, Bing Crosby, Steve Tyrell, Andy Williams, Keely Smith, Vic Damone, Dinah Washington. Yes; only a few of these names are still with us. But 20% of our 'Artist Top 300' group are born after 1960 and still alive. Our database system also looks at artist names. Exact the same spelled artist names aren't played again within 60 minutes. This restriction doesn't work for songs by Ol' Blue Eyes."
